Madonna en vivo

Los pasos que encaminaron a Madonna hacia el éxito fueron pasos de danza. Un talento natural que la llevó a formar parte de las cheerleader del instituto y a hacer clases de ballet, gozando de una beca de danza en la Universidad de Michigan, la cual dejó dos años después para cultivar su disciplina en Nueva York sin más recursos que su intrépida vocación por el baile.

Dijo: "It was the first time I'd ever taken a plane, the first time I'd ever gotten a taxi cab. I came here with $35 in my pocket. It was the bravest thing I'd ever done."

Traducción: "Fue la primera vez que tomé un avión, la primera vez que viajé en un taxi. Vine aquí (NY) con 35 dólares en el bolsillo. Es la cosa más valiente que he hecho nunca."

En lo sucesivo, la progresión de su carrera artística en sus diferentes facetas es historia, esto es, histórica. En mi opinión, música y danza se funden en toda su discografía, siendo esta fusión particularmente relevante y evidente en diferentes temas que invocan explícitamente al movimiento mismo al compás de la música, incluso al gesto, como vehículo de expresión idóneo de nuestra creatividad existencial. Ejemplo: "Vogue", Posa, cuyo vídeo y letra adjunto también en esta entrada. Sus coreografías y sus ritmos son bailados en discotecas del mundo entero.

En el vídeo que podéis ver a continuación Madonna escoge el tango en un concierto de su gira "Re-Invention", la más exitosa del año 2004, como recurso expresivo para poner en escena la canción "Die another day" (2002). Incluyo también el vídeo clip que le precedió, inspirado en diferentes escenas de toda la saga de James Bond hasta el momento, dado que esta canción fue el tema musical de la correspondiente película de 2002 titulada "007: Die another day", "007: Muere otro día".

Visualmente, el vídeo clip promocional enfatiza en un tono deliberadamente tajante, crudo, agresivo, una voluntad a ultranza, espartana, combativa, de seguir viviendo a pesar de todo. Este concepto se tradujo en el escenario de los conciertos en una coreografía también igualmente impulsiva y desafiante: por una parte la actitud prosaica, instintiva, feroz de los bailarines; por otro lado, ella, íntegra, metafórica.
